School / nursery: Class / group:
Date of the session:
having read the information below:
1. I consent to the photographer named above photographing my child (individual portrait and group photos)
at the session indicated, and making these photos available to me in a password-protected online gallery as watermarked previews, so that I can order prints.
2. I explicitly consent (Article 9(2)(a) UK GDPR / EU GDPR) to the
automatic sorting of my child's photos with a
face-grouping tool (SmartCull, the photographer's data processor). To group the photos by child, the tool derives
facial features from my child's face, which
constitute biometric data. I understand that:
- the processing takes place in the European Union, on the provider's servers;
- the photos and facial features are not passed to any third party and are never used to train an AI model;
- the facial features serve only to group the photos and are deleted automatically within 30 days of the upload or, where an ordering
gallery is open, of the ordering deadline.
Declining point 2 does not prevent my child from being photographed: their photos are then excluded from automatic sorting and
selected by hand by the photographer, or left out of the gallery (chosen procedure: ).
I may withdraw either consent at any time, without giving reasons, by contacting the photographer (details above); withdrawal does not
affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before it. I have the right of access, rectification, erasure and restriction, and I may lodge a complaint
with the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or my local supervisory authority. The photos are kept by the photographer for as long as needed
for ordering, then deleted under their retention policy.
